An excellent experience. Philippe's knowledge and enthusiasm brought to life the events of WW1 in the places where it actually happened. He even showed us
a couple of artillery shells which had been unearthed that very week and which lay beside the road.
Very worth while trip.

Flanders Tour
We booked this tour before arriving in Bruges, as since having an interest in the First World War, it seemed an ideal time to combine visits in one tour. We are so glad we did, as Philipe was a fabulous guide, who gave an indepth knowledge to us all on the events leading up to and during those tragic years. The tour was more even more emotional as there was only a small group, so we could spend time asking questions and experiencing the day to it's full. Thank you so much for both an informative and emotional day which we would recommend to all!

Superb Flanders Fields tour
We had read extensively about the battles and poetry of the First World War and wanted to see the area for ourselves. It was indeed the missing link. To be able to visit the Ypres Salient, understand the topography and follow strategiesand, battles as they unfolded, through Philippe's commentary, was very special. Visualizing it ourselves was all the more signi***ant as we saw where my grandfather fought, was wounded and where he would have been attended to in a dressing station. The tour, run by Philippe, was very impressive. His knowledge was encyclopedic and very interesting. The length of the tour and the variety of different places covered meant that we could fully process the information. We were very glad we stayed for the Last Post ceremony at Menin Gate. Philippe arranged for a taxi home for us. Probably the best tour we have ever done and one that will remain with us for a long time

This was the first visit to Belgium for me and my wife Liz and we really enjoyed ourselves, finding the Belgian people very friendly and helpful but the thing that we really enjoyed (if that's the word) was the tour of the battlefields and cemetery,s of the First World War with Quasimodo Tours. Phillips was an excellent guide and showed a real p***on with his knowledge of the battles etc. We will be returning!!! Adrian Martin

This was our second trip and the knowledge and enthusiasm displayed was infectious and has left us wanting to read and learn more. A tremendous day out.

I was apprehensive that the battlefields tour would suit my 87 year old mother who wished to visit the area in which her father had fought in WW1. I needn’t have worried - Philippe’s knowledge of WW1, his care and attention throughout the day and his sense of humour combined to make the tour the highlight of our 3 day holiday in Bruges. It was a most memorable and moving expedience and I would highly recommend the tour to young and old alike.

Flanders Fields Unfurled
We wanted to visit the battlefields while we were in Belgium and booked our tour with Quasimodo without much thought. We were amazed and blown away by Philippe's knowledge. The journey to each site was comfortable and punctuated by his gentle humour and charm, pointing out extra features of the area. The tour was well planned and carefully scheduled so that we felt neither bored or rushed at each site. Philippe and Sharon couldn't have done more to accommodate those in the party who had ancestors at other sites. It is potentially quite a harrowing day imagining the conditions experienced by all the soldiers but sentimentality isn't a feature of Philippe's commentary. Pity it was so bitterly cold!

Fields of Flanders
I had a phenomenal time on this tour! I'm not usually a fan of recommendations in guidebooks but I am glad that I took the advice and took the Quasimodo tour of Flanders Fields. Even though there were only two of us on the tour, Philippe took his time and treated us as if we were a full group. His knowledge and p***on for the subject matter was remarkable and his sense of humor and friendly demeanor truly made it feel like I was out on an adventure with a family member. This was absolutely one of the highlights of my vacation this past March. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Flanders Fields - an excellent tour!
My wife and I went on the one day trip Tuesday 26th Feb. Inspite of the weather (mistry), Phillipe ensured we were kept comfortable. His knowledge of the subject matter is phenominal but not sentimental. I thought the whole day may be a bit long, but the time shot by and I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone, especially families with younger children who may end up appreciating what war really means!
