Look Nowhere Else

I can't praise this tour too highly. From our initial enquiry by email to being collected by taxi after the Last Post at the Menin Gate, the entire experience was seamless. Philippe makes an extremely knowledgeable yet approachable guide and the tour itself is well constructed and immersive. It may be a very full day with a great deal to take in, yet everything is presented in such a compelling fashion that the time flies by. Sharon and Philippe deserve to be congratulated for attending to the very finest details to help make this an extremely memorable day.

That personal tough

Booked the trip to Flanderrs Fields as a birthday treat to my aunt who had never seen her Grandads gave, in fact no family member had ever visited. I have to admit history was never my thing, and a coach trip didn't appeal but I had a wonderful day, I wish I'd paid more attention at school. Phillippe was the guide, funny, factual, detailed and knowledgeable. We had a full coach with a couple of individual requests which he incorporated without making people feel left out. The trip to our speci*** grave in Bedford cemetery was added into the tour as an additional stop. Whilst we had the grave details, Philippe had spent his own time researching its exact position which was at the farthest point from the entrance, we were so thankful for his knowledge. Meant so much to my Aunt, and I'm sure our presence was felt by her granddad. At last he had been visited and a note left for the future. This could not have been achieved without much help from Philippe. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope that your wonderful family run business goes from strength to strength.

Money well spent

My mother and I did the Flanders' Fields tour, including the Menin Gate ceremony on July 13, 2013. Phillipe is a fantastic guide and incredibly knowledgeable about the great history of this area. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in WW I history. The home-made pate sandwich at the lunch stop at the museum is delicious! Thanks Phillipe for a great day and for playing some Leonard Cohen and some other great music on the bus.

Triple Treat & Flanders Fields

We had the pleasure of going on the "Triple Treat Tour" and the "Flanders Fields Tour". Philippe is a wonderful guide and we enjoyed his knowledge and humor. They were both great tours and we would recommend them to everyone. We had 3 nights in beautiful Brugge. Belgium has the best beer, chocolate and waffles!

Mrs

I pre booked this tour before leaving NZ and Phillipe & Sharon were very helpful in providing additional information I requested. Phillipe is a very professional but approachable tour guide whose knowledge shows he has an obvious p***on for Flanders Fields. The handout with the map of places visited was much appreciated, likewise the opportunity to purchase the booklet written by Leslie Coate. I would highly recommend this tour to visitors to Belgium - a great tour in a beautiful country!

A Memorable Day

My Wife and I recently spent a day on the Flanders Fields tour during our stay in Bruges. The transport was very comfortable, and we appreciated the taxi collection from our Hotel to the pick up point. Phillippe was our driver and guide throughout the trip. His knowledge and commentary at the various stops during the day was both extensive and captivating. A very enjoyable day and well recommended.

Outstanding tour

We had a in-depth and interesting tour with Philippe to Flanders Fields on the 9th. Was well worth the money spent for the knowledge and enthusiasm he portrayed and we learnt a lot. Never imagined we would have the opportunity to experience the insights from a comp***onate yet humourous guide. Thanks so much for a wonderful tour. Lunch at the museum is fantastic!

Triple Treat --- Triple the Fun!

What more could you ask for...Beer, waffles, and chocolate, although not all together! Two of us took Philippe's tour in June midweek and we lucked out with a smaller group (8-10 of us). Philippe was the perfect guide, enthusiastic, knowledgable, and sincere in his wanting to make sure everyone in the group had a positive experience. Philippe (pronounced Philip) is a local and he knows his stuff. He is funny and his tour is lively, not the standard canned commentary you sometimes get on other sightseeing tours. Many of his customers take one tour and are so pleased they sign up for the other. I will definitely go on the Flanders Fiels tour when I return to Brugge. Don't hesitate. Sign on with Quasimodo Tours. You won't be disappointed.

Mr

I visited Flanders Field with Philippe on Tues 2 July and enjoyed a memorable trip to emotional locations full of the history of the passchendale campaign . I enjoyed the food at the Lunch stop and the chance to see items in the museum there , as well as plenty of time to soak up Ypres and the Menin Gate . With my Grandfather fighting in this area in 1917 Phillippe supplied all the local knowledge possible to complete my understanding of the times . Thankyou again.
