We booked the Flanders Fields Tour, having seen it recommended on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed.Philippe has an *** knowledge and made the facts come to life.We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Flanders Fields Unfurled

We wanted to visit the battlefields while we were in Belgium and booked our tour with Quasimodo without much thought. We were amazed and blown away by Philippe's knowledge. The journey to each site was comfortable and punctuated by his gentle humour and charm, pointing out extra features of the area. The tour was well planned and carefully scheduled so that we felt neither bored or rushed at each site. Philippe and Sharon couldn't have done more to accommodate those in the party who had ancestors at other sites. It is potentially quite a harrowing day imagining the conditions experienced by all the soldiers but sentimentality isn't a feature of Philippe's commentary. Pity it was so bitterly cold!

Fields of Flanders

I had a phenomenal time on this tour! I'm not usually a fan of recommendations in guidebooks but I am glad that I took the advice and took the Quasimodo tour of Flanders Fields. Even though there were only two of us on the tour, Philippe took his time and treated us as if we were a full group. His knowledge and p***on for the subject matter was remarkable and his sense of humor and friendly demeanor truly made it feel like I was out on an adventure with a family member. This was absolutely one of the highlights of my vacation this past March. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Flanders Fields - an excellent tour!

My wife and I went on the one day trip Tuesday 26th Feb. Inspite of the weather (mistry), Phillipe ensured we were kept comfortable. His knowledge of the subject matter is phenominal but not sentimental. I thought the whole day may be a bit long, but the time shot by and I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone, especially families with younger children who may end up appreciating what war really means!

Just returned from Bruges after a long weekend with our friends and decided to go on this tour with Quasimodo tours as we had been let down by another tour company. We are so pleased our first tour was cancelled as Quasimodo tours were excellant, we learnt so much from Philippe our tour guide he was very knowledgable and friendly. Would highly recommend this trip with Quasimodo Tours.

Best tour

We would like to congratulate you on a fabulous tour. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The level of knowledge Phillipe has and his p***on for the subject brings the whole tour to life. It was very emotional at times but well worth going. It was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Brugge. Thank you Di*** and Ian

Triple Treat Tour

Thank you for the excellent tour on Monday 11th Feb. We all thought that this was the most interesting and informative part of our visit to Brugge. It was good to escape from the tourist centre and to see more of the surrounding area. We were particularly impressed that the Chateau of Loppem was opened especially for our visit! We will surely recommend your tours to others and will definitely book your Flanders Fields tour in the future.

Flanders Frozen Fields

It was a cold crisp day last sunday when I did the tour to Flanders Fields. Philip was an excellent and very knowledgable guide, even though he wasn't 100% well that day. The tour was very poignant and moving. What the poor souls who fought and died on either side went through is hard to comprehend. I'd recommend the tour, which due to the limit on the numbers feels very pesonal which I don't think you'd get on a larger tour.

Flanders Field Tour. A visit to Bruges would not be complete without taking advantage of the above tour. Our host Philippe, from the moment we boarded our tourbus, was a wealth of information without overloading you with unnecessary information. It is done in such a manner that at no time did it feel we were intruding in what must be for many visitors a very emotional experience. The tour is very well structured with almost the perfect balance between the amount of time to journey from one site to another and to allow our host to pass on his vast wealth of knowledge and facts on the area and the history there. The statistics of the battle, the casualties and there day to day existence are truly unbelievable. One thing that would be helpful would be a small flyer as you leave the tour with a brief resume of some of the more *** stats e.g the casualty figures, the numbers who were never found the amount of ammunition used and all this in such a small area. Thank you again Philippe for a truly emotional, informative and above all unforgettable day. Frank and Tina Ryan

Take The Tour

Not knowing much about WW1 I decided to take this Tour along with my wife, bolting it on after 3 days in Bruges. I've got to say it's probably the best escorted tour we've ever been on. The whole day is Structured from beginning to end to explain WW1 before, during & after. Philippe is a walking encyclopedia who's own take, side stories & fact's make this a must do whilst visiting Bruges.Make sure you take a camera!!
