Battlefield tour

Hi Sharon and phillipe. I just wanted to thank you for the tour last Saturday, (23rd Feb. 2019). I have visited the Flanders area a few times now and have a fairly good knowledge, but phillipe, your knowledge is second to none! And you made the day enjoyable with some humour at the right points and making it such an easy going day while learning so much. I would highly recommend your tour to anyone and would not hesitate to use you again. Thank you once again for everything from first contact, to saying goodbye at Essex farm as we headed off to the menin gate ceremony. Hopefully, see you again in the not too distant future.

Thank you

Thank you for a superb Flanders Fields tour last week. The whole tour was so well executed, and worth every last euro!It was Enlightening, passionate and informative , with all the information given in a totally respectful and non partisan way. We shall not forget. Thank you

WW1 Flanders Field Tour

We spent a most excellent day on the Flanders Fields tour with Philippe as our guide. This is a most informative tour that covers a lot of detail about the WW1 battles around the Ypres area. Philippe is very knowledgable on the subject, and was very happy to point out areas where 2 of my relatives fought in the Ypres battles. We also stayed for the Menin Gate Last Post ceremony where one of my relatives is named on the plaque. The taxis to take us back to Brugge arrived exactly on time, were very comfortable, and dropped us off directly at our hotel. The tour was the highlight of week spent in Belgium and I would highly recommend this tour.

Flanders field trio

Thank you for a fantastic and informative day with Phil. We really enjoyed the tour to the battlefields and would highly recommed your tours.

Thanks for recent visit

We took the tour in 2014 but recently brought 4 friends with us to do it again in 2018 - we were not disappointed - it was even more informative and thought provoking. Sharon and Philippe have been extremely helpful from our very early booking enquiry in 2017 through to our personal taxi ride home at the end of the day after the Menin Gate experience. Cannot recommend this highly enough - it should almost be compulsory for anyone visiting the area. Keep up the amazing work & thank you from us all!

Flanders Fields tour

We took this tour a few weeks ago (early May 2018) and were very happy with it. Quasimodo is a small husband/wife tour company with small, comfortable buses (17 passenger?), personalized service, and a deep knowledge of the battles, personalities, and events around the Ypres salient. The cost was VERY reasonable for a full-day tour. We were picked up by taxi at our B&B and delivered to our guide and bus waiting at the train station. Lunch was at a small cafe and private museum at the Hooge crater, and the day was capped by a visit to the city of Ypres, where we were given 45 minutes to wander and see whatever we liked. It would be hard to pick a favorite stop, but the Tyne Cot cemetery, Hill 60, and the re-created trenches were certainly highlights. So even if you are not a WW1 history buff (we are not), this would be well worth your time.

Great tour!

Hi Sharon An Philippe. Loved the tour! Best thing we did in Belgium, very informative and Philippes enthusiasm made it. Would 100% recommend to anyone

Flanders Field Trip

We were on the Flanders Field tour yesterday 1.4.18. What an amazing tour. I am now back home, Thank you so much for the attached map and personalisation of our trip. It is very much appreciated. I have already printed it out. It will give more sense to the many photos we took. Philippe your knowledge of the Great War is amazing. I thought I understood the events, but now I really do.

Thank you so much Philippe for the excellent tour last week. Both Steve and I were fascinated by all your knowledge. The pick up service from the hotel was greatly appreciated also. We would have no hesitation in recommending your company to our friends. We look forward to doing your other tour next time. Great lunch with friendly people, what more could you wish for. Thank you.

Battlefields tour

From beginning to end Phillipe was a very courteous and informative guide. It was a bitterley cold day when we did the tour which only added to the sadness felt that so many lives, young and old, were lost in the conflict. They must have endured such dreadful conditions in their fight for freedom and ultimately some of them paid with the loss of their life, we can never forget their sacrifice !!! Thank you for your dedication to the memory of the lost souls.
